Honglada Thoetkiattikul

Dr. Thoetkiattikul received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Entomology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtaining her Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Georgia in 2006.  She is currently working as a researcher at the Enzyme Technology Laboratory, National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Biotec), Thailand.

Her research focus is the development of metagenomic DNA technology for the identification of microbial genomes and their metabolic potential from a particular environment using high-throughput pyrosequencing technique.

As an ASEAN-U.S Science and Technology (S&T) fellow, she hope to learn the thought and decision making processes behind national and regional policies. She hope this program may develop a strong network within the ASEAN community, the ASEAN Secretariat, the US Community and colleagues from other connected sector ministries in Thailand and globally.
