Launched in April 2014, The ASEAN Science and Technology (S&T) Fellowship strengthens capacity for science-based policymaking by building a cadre of S&T Fellows across 10 ASEAN Member States.
The fellows are placed within host ministries in their respective countries for one year to conduct research, develop policy recommendations, apply best practices in integrating science and policymaking, and strengthen cross-border collaboration. They receive skills training and a monthly stipend to support their professional development.
The ASEAN S&T Fellows must have the following qualifications:
● Citizen of ASEAN Member State, aged 45 or younger
● Advanced degree (minimum master’s) in related field
● Early career scientist with strong professional and technical skills
